WINTER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION
On the shortest day of the year — come celebrate the return of the light!
1:00 – 3:00pm | Facilitated Make Art Event • Solstice Lanterns, Luminous Stars, & Kaleidoscopes:
- All materials supplied to create these light-filled crafts to take home
- Activity is free and suitable for all ages
- This is a family-friendly activity
12:30 – 5:00pm | Holiday Shopping:
- The Comox Valley Art Gallery Winter Art Faire is open special hours on Sunday, December 21
- While here, visitors and Make Art participants can also enjoy some complimentary hot apple cider and gingerbread
NOTE: Children and those needing assistance to participate in CVAG Make Art stations should be accompanied by adult support persons.
This event is presented as part of the Comox Valley Art Gallery’s Winter Art Faire festivities.
The Comox Valley Art Gallery is committed to creating safer spaces where everyone can participate.
All ages are welcome.
CVAG spaces are accessible. Efforts are made to make presented programming contents available to all by using approachable audio and visual technologies to aid in experience, way finding signage. Staff are available to answer any questions and to provide orientation to the presentation and gallery spaces.
Programs are barrier-free (no cost). DONATIONS are appreciated and contribute to ongoing community interactive programming.

Hand sanitation dispensers are available at CVAG. Wearing a mask is at the discretion of the visitor.
