CVAG FILM SERIES – SPRING 2026
Films screen at 5:00pm on Wednesdays at Landmark Cinemas (2655 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay). Doors open at 4:30pm.
The CVAG Film Series features a selection of films from the Toronto International Film Festival Circuit. CVAG staff and volunteers organize the film series, and proceeds go towards our artistic programming.
THE HISTORY OF SOUND
In 1917, two young music students attending the Boston Conservatory bond over a mutual love of folk music. They reconnect a few years later, embarking on a song-collecting trip in the backwaters of Maine.

Tickets are $18 for CVAG Members, $19 for Non-Members.
Season passes for all 8 films are $126 for CVAG Members, $133 for Non-Members.

NOTES: If you don’t have an advance ticket, it may be possible to purchase a ticket (cash only, $19) on-site at the theatre, but only if there are still seats available. Cash ticket sales are only available 30 minutes before the film starts. Cash tickets will be sold on a first come – first served basis. Most of our films sell out; to avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance.
Seating at Landmark Cinemas is first come – first served. Please do not save seats for multiple people. There is no seating after 5:00pm.
NO REFUNDS. You may provide your ticket to a friend if you are unable to attend.
