“What words does the ocean speak? How can people listen?
What new ecologies may be forged through acts of active listening to the natural world?
Stories of wreckage, salvage, migration, crossings, deaths and rebirths live in the ocean.
Stories too of fish and shells and corals and plants.
With this piece I wanted to make a piece that addresses these questions and themes as an act of climate action while living through climate grief.” – Playwright Caridad Svich
