K’ÓMOKS FUSION FESTIVAL

Summer is here, and so is Pulse on the Plaza! Join us for the first Pulse event of the season — a vibrant evening of music, art, culture and community connection in the heart of Downtown Courtenay (at Duncan Avenue between 5th and 6th).

This special June edition, K’ómoks Fusion Festival, is presented in partnership with Queneesh Indigenous Community Society and will feature an exciting lineup of performers, artists, and cultural collaborators.

Stage Lineup:

5:00 – 6:00pm | Songwriter and performer GREG WELLS, from Wei Wai Kum First Nation.
6:00 – 7:00pm | Storyteller and NIC Elder in Residence, DARYLE MILLS.
7:00 – 8:00pm | Celebrated Haida/Cree performing artist KRISTI LANE SINCLAIR, channeling her love of grunge and classical music to tell her own unique story.
8:00 – 9:00pm | DJ RESISTER returns to Pulse on the Plaza, fusing music from diverse cultures into beats that bring the whole plaza to life.

Art + Workshops:

5:30 – 6:30pm + 7:30 – 8:30pm | RACHEL JANETTI brings a unique opportunity to learn about Devils Club through Medicinal Knowledge Sharing and hands-on Bead Design.
Renowned print-maker ANDY MACDOUGALL will be onsite, bringing his passion for silk-screening to Pulse.


SUMMER PULSE ON THE PLAZA

Summer Pulse on the Plaza continues on the fourth Friday of July, August, and September — each month bringing a unique celebration of community and creativity.

This series is brought to you in collaboration with Comox Valley Art Gallery, Comox Valley Arts, Elevate the Arts, and the Downtown Courtenay Business Improvement Association.
