The CVAG Film Series features a selection of films from the Toronto International Film Festival Circuit. CVAG staff and volunteers organize the film series, and proceeds go towards our artistic programming.
KÖLN 75
In January 1975, jazz pianist Keith Jarrett performed at the Cologne Opera House. The recording that followed, The Köln Concert, later became the best-selling solo album in jazz history and the best-selling piano album of all time. And it almost didn’t happen. Köln 75 tells the true story of a group of teenage music enthusiasts, led by the perseverant Vera Brandes (Mala Emde), who organized the concert from scratch, bringing together a now legendary moment in music history against all odds.

NOTES: If you don’t have an advance ticket, it may be possible to purchase a ticket (cash only, $19) on-site at the theatre, but only if there are still seats available. Cash ticket sales are only available 30 minutes before the film starts. Cash tickets will be sold on a first come – first served basis. Most of our films sell out; to avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance.
Seating at Landmark Cinemas is first come – first served. Please do not save seats for multiple people. There is no seating after 5:00pm.
