The public is invited to DROP-IN at CVAG from 10AM – 5PM on Saturday, February 4.
Facilitator Onsite — Artist Bran Mackie welcomes questions about spinning, felting, + fibre preparation for making.
Materials are available at the gallery for visitors to try their hand at material processes — fibre, stop-motion animation, drawing, painting, small builds with lego/paper/wood and more.
This event is part of Michael Fernandes’s Don’t Know multimedia projects that actively solicit participation from the viewer. The artist invites you to bring something of yourselves to the space.
DON’T KNOW – CVAG Main Gallery – Installation | Public Open Studio MakeArt Space hosts:
- Self-Directed MakeArt Stations — public, drop-in art-making opportunities every open day at the gallery.
In the gallery you will find materials for your use. Work on your project. Continue with someone else’s project. Put what you have made on the shelves. Take your project home. Bring it back. Leave something behind. Visit again.
- Facilitated MakeArt Projects — posted over the upcoming weeks — will offer participants facilitated opportunities to build new making skills.
CVAG programs are public / all ages / barrier free (no cost). DONATIONS are appreciated and contribute to ongoing community interactive programming.
Public health considerations – we ask that visitors choose not to visit if they are experiencing symptoms of colds and flus. Hand sanitation dispensers are available at CVAG. Wearing a mask is at the discretion of the visitor.
