Get your creativity on! Each Wednesday this summer, our interns will be facilitating a thematic Community Make Art Action on the CVAG outdoor plaza. We welcome you to drop by any time between 1-7. Our events are free and open to everyone.

BUTTON + PATCH MAKING / Wednesday, July 21 1-7 pm
- Come create and trade some buttons and patches! We’ll have the button maker on hand, and will be live screenprinting patches for you to decorate.
ZINES + POSTCARDS / Wednesday, July 28 1-7 pm + Wednesday, August 4 1-7 pm
- Swing by to contribute to a collaborative zine! Participants are invited to draw, paint, and collage responses to the thematic provided. Everyone will get to bring home a small printed zine.

- Light up your week with some sea-themed lanterns! This week we’re partnering up with Comox Valley Arts for their Salish Sea Festival – A Week Of Lanterns.
PRINTED POSTCARDS / Wednesday, August 25 1-7 pm
- Inspired by the Traditional Indigenous Full Circle Tea Garden that resides on CVAG plaza, we will be live screen-printing plant silhouettes onto postcards for you to decorate. For more information on the inspiration for this project, click here: Public Place : Sacred Space
OUR YOUNG GIRLS + STEAM INCUBATOR / Wednesday, September 1 1-7 pm

Join us in solidarity with Deborah Dumka’s Our Young Girls – an interactive installation exploring gender + digital empowerment + access + technology + safe spaces + art. Bring your own T-Shirt (white) to screen print and hand colour. T-shirts will also be available to purchase. More info to come…
