KIDS SUMMER CAMP: VEX IQ Robotics Camp

PLEASE NOTE: THE CAMP WILL RUN WITH A MINIMUM OF 12 PARTICIPANTS, REGISTERED BY JUNE 28TH. EARLY REGISTRATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

In this introductory level robotics camp, participants will work in partners to build, program, and drive a robot using the VEX IQ platform. Teams will work together to learn basic skills for building a robotic system, program a controller to drive the system, and program for autonomous movements (non-driver controlled). Participants will all be building, driving, and programming autonomously to play a robotics game challenge called Ringmaster!

About Roger Vernon:
Roger has been the teacher for the E-Cademy of New Technology, Engineering and Robotics for 7 years. The E.N.T.E.R. program is a Navigate: NIDES, Aspen Park Elementary and Highland Secondary collaborative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) program whose students engage regularly with their learning through the world of robotics and engineering. Roger is passionate about providing youth the opportunity to learn about the rapidly expanding technologies involving robotics and automation.
