The community is invited to the opening of approaching painting, a group exhibition that offers traditional methodologies combined with contemporary elements and processes.
Following a welcoming at 1 pm, the painters, Carole Thompson · Madeleine Wood · Nicole Crouch · Robert Moon · Scott Bertram, will speak to their approach to painting.
A performance by movement artist, Cathy Coates, will be a part of the afternoon event. Community facilitator Cedar Waslewski will be present.
A reception will follow, offering the opportunity to view the exhibition and to speak with the artists and collaborative interpreters about their work and creative process.
CVAG events are free and open to the public. Donations are gratefully accepted.
