CVAG is delighted to announce the launch of our new Project Room Studio community outreach initiative. Nicole Crouch Is our first participant and she will be on site working in the Project Room Studio from February 10-24, 2017.
Nicole Crouch is an artist and art therapist living in the Comox Valley. She has worked in community development and the arts for over ten years.
What I’ll be doing: I will be using the workspace to air my current body of work, like putting it out on a properly sized line. I’ll look at it. Breathe with it. Make some changes. Let it dry some more. See how the pieces speak together as a body. I will research and experiment with painting nude self portraits in the workspace as well as making small landscape watercolour paintings of the landscape as seen from the CVAG location. Midway through the residency, I will have some visitors in to join me in a viewing.
