On Saturday, July 21 11am – 4pm, the community is invited to engage in cultural sharing celebration rooted in Potlatch 67–67: The Potlatch Ban – Then and Now thematic program and the exhibition Hiłt̕sist̕a’a̱m (The Copper Will Be Fixed).
Doors open at 10am and a light lunch is provided. Tickets are by donation and are available at I-HOS Gallery located at 3310 Comox Rd, Courtenay, BC.
This Cultural Sharing celebration is open to the public to be witness to another level of Indigenous teachings in a traditional setting. Learn about cultural practices, honour those that have made this event possible and celebrate the vibrant and rich Indigenous Peoples through songs and dances. The very foundation of Potlatch 67-67 is about education and opportunities for dialogue around Canada’s true history so please come and share in this celebration with us with an open mind and heart.
