This summer, the Comox Valley Art Gallery hosted a S.T.E.A.M. INCUBATOR, that was inspired by the work of Deb Dumka and Claire Sandford, Our Young Girls / Violet Gave Willingly, – an interactive installation exploring gender + digital empowerment + access + technology + safe spaces + art. Guided by educator Stew Savard, a group of girls, many of whom are transitioning to the School District 71 ENTER program at Highland School this fall, immersed themselves in a collaborative robotics learning environment.
This event is all for all ages and by donation.
