Intended to align the learners’ spirit with natural experiences in the wild and with the essence of their individual spark, lending to their own unique creativity. Just as Nature constantly changes and evolves, so too does the creative experience. Unknown yet beautiful, each opportunity a magical door just waiting to be opened.
Join Kathleen for a nature-inspired, place-based and community art experience where we dare to explore various elements of art found in every nook, crack and cranny contained in the most unusual yet predictable wilder spaces, blueprinted and mapped in the landscape of our urban places. As we learn we will play, imagine and create, exploring our world through a lens of creativity and story.
With intentions to complement the CVAG public art exhibition Hold and Being Held we will create pieces to reflect, invoke and align with the conceptual promises of the artists on site, their mantras of intention and unique qualities of work. We will provoke thought and imagination, implore courage in creativity and challenge ourselves as the innovators we innately are and can become. With experiments in living pottery, collaborative painting, performance improvisation and the ’gifting’ of our work foretold, the fortune of this experience is destined to be extraordinary. Finality of the experience will culminate in our own group show, for the invitation of welcomed guests of our community and clan.
About Kathleen Radford:
In human shape and form, I am one part tree, one part faerie and one part guardian of the Arts.
In my waking life, I have gathered and collected many years experience as an Art Educator, an Early Childhood Education Assistant and Education Assistant, in both public and private schools.
With Nature, I feel complete. It is my connection to Nature that inspires me to guide and mentor our emerging dwellers of Planet Earth-through the ways of creativity and the infinite-with the hope and heart’s wish, they too will feel the same.
Please join me as you ignite your own spark, feel your heart and experience the enchantment of Nature that awaits, as together we discover the magic and mystery of our ‘Wild[er] Spaces’.
